Outlaw Stick Up Review

I was super excited when Danielle from Outlaw Soaps reached out to me to try their lotion stick. Since I have been crocheting so much lately, my hands have been getting dry fast. (The yarn sucks up moisture out of your hands). And since my other hobby is  nail polish, which is also very drying, I am always looking for the perfect lotions and creams.

Danielle sent me the Stick Up in Gambler scent. Based on the description, I would have never ordered this scent, but I love it!
The Gambler
It's described as being "like leather and tobacco" and also compared to whiskey. It sounds very masculine, and it could definitely be used by a man- in fact if you are a man reading this, you should hurry up and buy this because women are going to swoon over you if you wear it. My husband and I kept thinking it was a candle scent when I had it on, but a good candle scent - in fact, Outlaw really needs to make candles of this scent, pronto!

Once applying it, I didn't feel like it was overly masculine for me to use. The one thing I will say about the scent is- it is strong enough that if you reapply the lotion, it gets pretty strong. Personally, I like fragrances so this didn't bother me, but if you are a person who is sensitive to scents, or have those people around you, be careful not to use this product around them.

As a lotion it works well without being goopy or greasy. It sinks right into your skin and keeps you moisturized for a while. I've never tried a lotion stick before, but it works well for crocheting because it's not liquid so you don't have to worry about waiting for the liquid to sink in or dry. I imagine it would work well for your purse or travel as well. The best part is that the ingredients are all words I recognize: "Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Cocoa Butter, Grapeseed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Vitamin E, Fragrance Oil."

Overall I do recommend this product as long as you aren't sensitive to fragrances! I used it daily for a couple of weeks while crocheting and I really liked it. It makes me want to try more of their products as well.

  1. interesting, I might have to try this as sewing dries out my hands quickly too. I will have to check on other scents.
