PetBox Review, Coupon Code and Giveaway! [GIVEAWAY CLOSED]

My cats are pretty excited because we had the chance to review PetBox, a subscription box for pets! Even more exciting is that they get to share the joy with their internet cat (and dog) friends with the giveaways below.
PetBox
The box I received and the giveaway were given by PetBox, but the opinions are my (and my cats') own. PetBox offers a monthly subscription for $39 a month, and you can get discounts for pre-paying for periods of time in advance. Using the code LIFEWANGIE will get you half off of your first box.

So, what's in the box? Dragon helped with the unboxing:

Dragon Unboxing the PetBox
The box has a good mix of useful, basic things and products I had never seen before. Dragon was particularly excited about a catnip spray that was included.

Is that catnip spray?
Dragon is a Seattle kitty through and through, so it's no surprise he is such a stoner! The catnip spray really appeals to me too - he does love his nip, but I don't really like the way the catnip makes a mess all over the place. It's super convenient to spray it on his favorite pillows and let him chill out there. As soon as I spray it, his nose starts wiggling and he zones in on the catnip-infused item. So Dragon's very happy with this box!

There were lots of other goodies in the box as well.

My cats scarfed down the Red Barn Naturals food. They are kind of picky about wet food, so I am excited about that and definitely am going to seek out more. The wipes are both very useful - the Shed Control cloths really only worked on Dragon, though, and not the long-haired guys. Long-haired cats especially act like little dust mops and pick up dirt all over the place, so I've been using the Kittywipes on our guys a lot since we got them and they are really nice and smell great too. The Slurp-Fresh is something you put in their water to help keep their teeth clean, and I have no way of knowing yet if it works, but I can say that they don't seem to mind having it in the water.

The only item that wasn't really a hit for us is the treat-dispensing toy. Hubby set it all up and they just stared at it. If they do figure it out, I'm not sure we can leave it there unattended anyway, because Poco tends to gorge on treats and puke, so we have to watch how many treats he gets.

But the good news is- you are able to customize your PetBox if needed! That's a really exciting feature for me. I get a lot of subscription boxes and there are usually one or two items you really don't want or need. Customization is a great way to avoid that. And I am very excited to learn about a few of the products here.

OK, time for the giveaways! Our boys didn't want to be cat-centric, so there is one for cats and one for dogs. You can enter both if you want to, but you can only win one. U.S. Addresses only! The prizes are sponsored by PetBox and will be shipped directly from them.

  5. Miles makes me walk him to his food bowl in the morning and at night, and will whine at me until I do so. I think he wants someone to watch his back and keep him safe from predators :)

  9. I've used the From the Field catnip spray for several years. Like you, I don't really like the mess of sprinkling catnip around, so this works great.

  10. Maple's favorite toys are plastic spider rings, the kind given to kids in party favor bags around Halloween. Maple seems particularly fond of glow in the dark spider rings.

The plastic safety seal rings from the tops of milk jugs are also good fun, but as a rule, toys actually designed for cats don't interest her.
