Paula's Choice Skincare Review

Have you ever tried out Paula's Choice skin products? I have not, and just heard of them this year while browsing around on a beauty forum. I'm always up for trying out new skin stuff, and Paula's Choice graciously sent me some products to review. You can get $10 off of your first order by using this link or any of the links throughout this post ($15 minimum order).

Paula's Choice Products

I don't have oily skin, so when I saw that the products were "oil-reducing," I was a bit concerned that it would dry out my skin. But the Skin Balancing Oil-Reducing cleanser is really nice, not drying at all. I've been using Purity Made Simple by Philosophy for years, but as I get older, I find it a bit drying, and have kind of been a low-key search for something to replace it. This might be it!

The Skin Balancing Invisible Finish Moisture Gel is very light. Again, I saw it and thought "oh, this is not going to work for me." I am used to using creamier products on my skin. But I do get combination skin at that time of the month, and although my skin is never super dry, it is a bit tight if I don't use any moisturizer. So I was pleasantly surprised by the gel moisturizer. It's super lightweight and my skin does not feel either oily or dry. In fact, it feels kind of plump and clean, like nothing is on it at all, but not as tight as when nothing is really on it. I should point out that I live in Seattle, where it is wet and chilly in the winter, but we don't get the severe dry skin in the winter that happens in colder climates.

Last, the mask! I tried the Skin Balancing Oil-Absorbing Mask out on a Sunday and left it on for about 15 minutes, per the instructions. I don't usually care about masks, but I thought I should try it because they sent it to me... but I actually really liked it! I used the cleanser, then the mask, and then the moisturizer, and my skin felt really plump and clean afterward.

So, overall, these are three products I would have probably overlooked, and they all did a great job on my skin. I might be a Paula's Choice convert!
